An annual vegetable from the Brassicaceae family, mustard and cabbage.


Harvest after the main heads have formed before they separate into individual flowers.  Cut the main crown and 6 inches of stem. Removing the central stem will stimulate side shoots to grow.

Choose crisp, bright green stalks and tightly closed buds. A few yellow flowers on the stalk do not indicate staleness.


Refrigerate unwashed broccolini in a plastic bag for up to ten days. Rinse before using.

Blanch and freeze for more extended storage.


Fat free, cholesterol free, very low sodium, excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin C.
